Grand Coders - Grand Failures by R.L. Douglas

Grand Coders

Was founded by R.L. Douglas in 2015 and used the Unreal Engine 4 for creation of its games. Was self-promoted mainly on YouTube, Steam and IndieDB. It was a one-man endeavour that almost hit it!

World of Ferania (aka Globiuz) (2015)

Initially was build in Unity 4, then transferred into Unreal Engine 4. Blender was used for creation of 3D models. Pencil drawings and paintings were used for backgrounds and characters. Some drawings were blended with manual pixel art. Character animation of the Crustacean was put together by frame animation.

Main character

The red crab, the Crustacean named Claw, was the main character of the game. Functioned in a classic platformer style via: jumping, sliding, glove boxing, cannon shooting!

Doc Dodgers (2016)

The second and the last game by Grand Coders. Doc Dodgers is the detective humanoid dog who tries to stop the alien invasion of Manhattan. Fast paced adventure, shooter, platformer with acid-looking and sounding levels. The project was slated down in 2018.
